I was a CAD engineer for many years pre IT. What ever the spec is for the server it needs. Shared resources is not the way to go for these. What ever you are trying to save on licensing it’s not going to help. These CAD applications are designed and really will use the minimum specs. So if it calls for 16GB of ram you need it. Using shared 64GB isn’t going to cut it if you have 5 users you just completely went past the minimum and will certainly have issues. Any more details you can share on the build? Storage location?
