BIOS and Firmware


For certain emulators you may need certain additional files in order to play games. Most commonly you may need BIOS or firmware files for the console you want to emulate. As these files contain copyrighted material we cannot make them available on this site.
You may have some luck finding the files on your favorite torrent website, but they may also be found on the following page:

DeSmuME can also load external BIOS and firmware images from a hardware NDS, gaining additional features by doing so. If DeSmuME has all the necessary external BIOS and firmware images loaded, then it is possible to perform a full NDS boot. Don't forget to run desmume as administrator in Windows 7/Windows vista!! In desmume's wifi settings (config-wi-fi), you should see your android device's manufacturer in the dropdown box. Mine simply said 'HTC'. You should be set! Again, this was tested on a rooted mytouch 3g running Cyanogen 6.1. Results may vary.
